Manning Kass is seeking a General Liability Associate with at least 2+ years of civil litigation experience for its California offices. The role focuses on defending corporations, businesses, and insurers in complex, high-exposure general liability matters, including catastrophic injury cases, and advising clients on risk mitigation and litigation strategy. Responsibilities include attending court hearings, participating in site inspections, taking and defending depositions, drafting and responding to written discovery, evaluating and executing litigation strategies, and managing client communications throughout litigation. Associates work with experienced trial attorneys and participate in all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through discovery, law and motion practice, and trial preparation. Requirements include a Juris Doctor degree, active California State Bar membership in good standing, at least 2+ years of general civil litigation experience, strong legal research and writing skills, attention to detail, and strong time management skills. Experience with catastrophic injury matters is preferred.
