Design and execute a sophisticated development strategy to grow major gifts, corporate partnerships and annual giving. The role includes working with the CEO, Board Directors and high-net-worth supporters, developing a 3 to 5 year fundraising strategy, building a major gifts programme, growing annual appeals, developing corporate partnerships, identifying grant opportunities, managing major donor portfolios, preparing proposals, coordinating donor meetings, leading campaigns, overseeing donor communications, supporting donor engagement, maintaining donor database integrity, tracking KPIs and ensuring compliance with ACNC and fundraising regulations. Essential criteria include 5 or more years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy or development, demonstrated success securing major gifts of $25,000 or more, exceptional written communication skills, experience working with Boards or senior executives, and high emotional intelligence and discretion. Experience in education, policy or cultural institutions and an understanding of the Australian political and historical landscape are desirable.
