Fully Funded PhD Studentship in Network Science - Reconstruction and Modeling of Higher-Order Interactions in Complex Systems

at Northeastern University Network Science Institute · Boston

Details.

Funded full-time PhD project in Network Science at Northeastern University London, with a preferred start date of April 2025 and the possibility of an October 2025 start. The project examines how higher-order interactions shape neural and social systems, combining theoretical models, Bayesian and non-parametric inference, computational experiments, and empirical applications using neuroscience and social systems datasets. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a 2:1 or first, a master's degree in a relevant subject is strongly recommended, strong computational and modeling skills, experience in complex systems, network science, or statistical mechanics, programming proficiency in Python, Julia, C++, or similar, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, an annual stipend, an additional London allowance at UKRI rates, and associated costs for three and a half years. Applications are open to UK and international students.
