Join our highly respected London law firm as a Costs Draftsman/Costs Manager, primarily supporting the family department with a focus on legal aid billing. Candidates with experience handling claims against public authorities, mainly Actions Against the Police, and public law judicial review work are also welcomed. Based at our Central London office with an immediate start, the successful candidate will prepare and manage billing, including bills using CCMS and CWA, EC1, ECF, Claim1, Claim1A, Claim2 and detailed bills. Duties include liaising with costs draftsmen through to settlement, submitting outcomes on CCMS, uploading final orders, allocating counsel costs, addressing CCMS notifications, requesting court and party orders, liaising with chambers, experts and other professionals, downloading BACS statements, calculating BACS totals and analysis, and claiming payments on account.
