Full-time, Monday through Friday position in the New York City tri-state area. Responsibilities include providing technical support through daily analysis of installed projects in the NYC Operations Center, troubleshooting building operations and chiller, boiler, and pumping systems, and reviewing building performance in relation to energy savings. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of building electric and HVAC mechanical systems, building automation, internet communications, and desktop information systems, and must be comfortable working with diverse groups in a customer-facing role. A 2 to 4 year mechanical or HVAC engineering degree in a related field is mandatory. The preferred profile includes 3 to 5 years of experience as a field applications engineer, practical experience operating HVAC and automatic control systems, strong communication and teaching skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, analytical accuracy, and the ability to organize and manage small to medium-size projects. Technical knowledge should include building systems technologies, BTU and electric meters, building controls, HVAC systems and automation, internet communications technologies, Microsoft Office, electricity, chilled water systems, and boiler plant systems. Pay is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
