South West London Law Centres is seeking an enthusiastic and committed volunteer for a six-month part-time placement providing paralegal support to employment caseworkers and volunteer advisers. Duties may include legal research, triage of employment enquiries, booking clients for one-off advice appointments, analysing client documents, writing attendance notes, drafting letters of advice, and general administration. Applicants should be working towards a legal qualification such as an LLB, GDL, ILEx or CILEx, have experience supporting a team, a commitment to equal opportunities, strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Office. The placement offers insight into employment and discrimination work, development of research and drafting skills, supported client-facing experience, internal and external training, active supervision and an end of placement evaluation. This is a remote role with occasional office attendance, requiring one to two full days per week for at least six months. It is voluntary and unpaid, with reasonable expenses reimbursed up to £15 per working day. Start date is as soon as possible.
