Manning Kass is seeking an Education Law Attorney to join one of its California offices, with at least 4+ years of experience in education law related litigation. The role represents education agencies in general civil litigation, including analyzing and executing litigation strategies, conducting depositions, handling written discovery, communicating with clients, representing clients at hearings, motions, and mediations, reviewing legal documents, and developing cost-effective case strategies. Requirements include a Juris Doctor degree, admission to the California State Bar, excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills, demonstrated civil litigation experience, and knowledge of laws and procedures applicable to public entities. Experience representing public entities or education agencies is strongly preferred, and trials or administrative hearings are a plus.
