Details.
One-year placement starting in June, with a small number of openings available in the Economics team each year. The programme is for undergraduate students whose degree course requires a year in industry, usually the third year of a four-year course. Applicants should be studying Economics, including joint honours, and have a keen interest in macroeconomics, financial markets and current affairs. Students join the intern training programme for the first ten weeks, followed by access to further training focused on continual personal development and strengthening their skill set. The placement year programme is used as a feeder to the graduate programme, although a graduate place is not guaranteed and depends on performance and feedback.
