Disability / Aged Care Support Worker - Sydney

Provide person-centred disability and aged care support in Sydney and surrounding areas, helping participants achieve their NDIS plan goals and maintain or increase their independence. Duties include personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation, and transportation. The role involves working up to 5 days a week, including weekends, and requires experience with complex personality disorders and challenging behaviours. Applicants need at least 2 years of Community Services experience, relevant qualifications or study, knowledge of Individual Support Plans, NDIS and Aged Care requirements, strong communication and relationship-building skills, a reliable registered and comprehensively insured vehicle, a current full NSW Driver's Licence, smartphone with internet access, current NDIS and Working with Children checks, current influenza and COVID-19 vaccination certification for 3 doses, current First Aid certification, and valid working rights in Australia. The role also requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, stress resilience, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, initiative, flexibility in alternative and augmentative communication, and active listening skills.
