King's Own Institute is seeking an experienced Director of Learning and Teaching to join its Academic Department. The role supports the Vice President (Academic) and involves managing academic operations, research and scholarly activities, teachers, academic services and administration functions. Duties include monitoring the Learning and Teaching Plan and reporting performance data, supporting academic quality, governance and compliance operations, managing academic operations for the Newcastle campus, supporting academic committees and boards, overseeing Academic Services, ensuring effective academic integrity processes, maintaining quality assurance in learning and teaching assessment and evaluation, and driving the development and delivery of existing, reaccredited and new courses. Essential requirements include a Doctorate in a relevant discipline, at least five years' experience in a generic position, three to five years' experience with an international higher education provider, seven to ten years' teaching experience in Australian higher education, demonstrated scholarly practice in learning and teaching, specialisation in online and hybrid courses, knowledge of higher education regulations, and experience with TEQSA requirements, HESF standards and AQF guidelines. Candidates must have unrestricted full working rights, reside in Sydney and be willing to undergo a Police Check.
