Brooklyn Independent is seeking an organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to execute fundraising activities for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include developing social media and communication plans, writing donor newsletters, coordinating annual appeals, maintaining donation and donor records, planning fundraising and stewardship events, supporting major donor cultivation, preparing reports, assisting the Co-Head of School with office tasks, coordinating meetings, and maintaining the website. Candidates should have a commitment to equity in education, strong organizational, project coordination, writing, communication, and relationship-building skills, plus 3-5 years of nonprofit fundraising, development, or events experience. Experience with CRM or donor databases, office productivity tools, Google Suite, and fundraising campaigns or events is required or preferred as specified. The position is part-time, 15-20 hours per week, pays $35-$50 per hour, begins in person before transitioning to a more flexible or remote schedule, and requires occasional evenings for events.
