Criminal Defence Lawyers Australia is seeking motivated lawyers to build a serious career in criminal defence litigation. The role involves exclusive criminal defence work, early and regular courtroom exposure, complex and challenging matters, client communication, evidence and brief review, preparation for defended hearings and District Court proceedings, litigation strategy, and advocacy under supervision. The firm offers hands-on experience, ongoing in-house training, direct mentoring from experienced criminal lawyers, and exposure to bail applications, defended hearings, trials, complex indictable matters, serious allegations, appeals and higher court litigation. Applicants may include law graduates completing PLT, newly admitted lawyers, and criminal lawyers with 1 or more years of post-admission experience. Essential requirements include a demonstrated passion for criminal law and defence advocacy, strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, excellent organisation and communication skills, a current practising certificate or eligibility to obtain one, and a current driver licence.
