Burkland is seeking a CFO Advisory Consultant to serve as a long-term financial partner and advisor to clients operating under management services agreements between an MSO and affiliated professional corporations. Responsibilities include overseeing monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, managing intercompany billing and cost allocations, advising CEOs and physician leadership on financial strategy, owning the finance section of board meetings, supporting fundraising and M&A, maintaining revenue cycle and cash flow planning, strengthening controls and audit readiness, and identifying opportunities for Burkland's bookkeeping, tax and HR services. Candidates should have direct MSO/PC experience, healthcare experience, a history of owning financial operations long-term, experience with fundraising, M&A or exits, 7 to 10 years of finance or operations experience, strong Excel or Sheets skills, familiarity with financial technology platforms, experience applying AI tools to finance and accounting, and strong strategic judgment and soft skills. MBA or CPA is preferred, and candidates in Austin, Boston, New York or Northern California are preferred. The target compensation range is $71,000 to $340,000 on a project or contract basis.
