Acres Building Consultants is seeking a Building/Quantity Surveyor to join its small friendly team. The role includes undertaking housing disrepair surveys and preparing CPR35 compliant reports, preparing Party Wall notices and awards, preparing contract documentation for tendering, contract administration and valuations, Stock and Condition surveys and reports, Technical Due Diligence surveys and reports, preparing fee bids, liaising with clients, contractors and other construction professionals, and pricing dilapidations with CPR35 compliant reports. Candidates must have technical skills related to building construction and surveying, advanced knowledge of building regulations, safety standards and environmental regulations, experience diagnosing housing disrepair and building defects, and the ability to produce high-quality written reports efficiently and in line with CPR35. Applicants should be organised, detail-focused, confident communicators, computer literate with a good understanding of MS Word and Excel, willing to learn, able to work proactively with minimal supervision, and excellent team players. Experience with social housing and public sector clients is a plus. Site visits and travel will mainly be in London and the South East, with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK. The role offers flexibility to work from home or from the Redhill office, an initial guaranteed 20 hours per week with the potential to increase to full-time hours, and flexibility for applicants working around childcare or other responsibilities.
