Akuna Capital is seeking an experienced Broker Trader to support team expansion, expand coverage, and compete in the marketplace. The role involves making markets on options for brokers and banks through chat and voice platforms, identifying marketplace opportunities, and working collaboratively with experienced traders. Candidates should have 2+ years of options market making experience, strong mathematical aptitude, effective communication and interpersonal skills, strong business relationships, the ability to work alongside screen traders, problem-solving skills, and the ability to react quickly and accurately to changing market conditions. Existing relationships with inter-dealer, floor, or direct counterparty brokers and paper flow are required. VBA or Python programming skills are a plus but not required. The role is based in Chicago, with a minimum base salary of $145,000, eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
