Kababayan Multicultural Centre is seeking three passionate, strategic, and community-minded volunteer directors to provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight. Responsibilities include upholding KMC's mission and strategic priorities, supporting organizational sustainability and long-term planning, approving annual budgets, overseeing financial performance, monitoring risks and governance practices, supporting policy development and accountability, championing equity, diversity, inclusion, and community engagement, serving as an ambassador, supporting fundraising and partnerships, and participating in Board and Committee meetings, organizational events, and community activities. Applicants should demonstrate professional expertise, governance experience, commitment to community service, strategic thinking, sound judgment, strong communication and collaborative leadership skills, integrity, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and diverse communities. Expertise sought includes finance and audit, fundraising and corporate partnerships, human resources and organizational development, and business leadership and entrepreneurship. The role is unpaid, has a three-year term, and requires monthly hybrid Board meetings, participation on at least one Board Committee, and attendance at selected events and fundraising activities. Applicants may reside anywhere in Ontario, with preference potentially given to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area who can attend occasional in-person meetings and community events.
