Newmark Primary is seeking several new directors to provide governance oversight for the school and support its future strategy. This is a voluntary three-year appointment, with the possibility of an extended appointment, and an immediate start. The school is seeking expertise in legal matters, finance, property development, marketing, fundraising, strategy and growth, and board leadership roles including Board Chair, Deputy Chair and Company Secretary. Responsibilities include supporting and reviewing the Principal, recruiting and onboarding directors, supporting the school's philosophy and culture, approving strategic plans and budgets, ensuring legal and risk compliance, monitoring the Child Safe approach and school performance, handling escalated complaints, and engaging with the school community. Directors must attend a minimum of eight board meetings and four committee meetings each year, respond to board communications, review meeting documents, undertake professional development, and hold a current Working With Children Check card. Applicants should demonstrate ethical and sustainable practice, strategic thinking, clear communication, collaboration, problem-solving, openness to feedback and the ability to turn ideas into action.
