Join Team Tuck-Box creating stylish, fun and colourful cakes. Tuck Box Cakes is looking for committed, experienced bakers and artistic cake decorators with at least two years of professional experience. Cake experience is essential, along with a good attitude, outstanding attention to detail, knowledge of health and safety, the ability to work to challenging deadlines and a creative mind for developing new ideas. Duties include assisting with planning and managing daily production of bespoke cakes and regular orders, baking sponges, preparing frostings, torting and filling cakes, ganaching and covering cakes with fondant, advanced sugar modelling, sugar flowers and piping, general kitchen duties, stock-taking and related administration, plus occasional weekend cake delivery and set-up. This is a full-time contract of 40 hours per week, with 28 holiday days per year including bank holidays, paid overtime and a starting salary of £8.50 to £12 per hour depending on experience.
