Johnson & Bell is seeking associate trial lawyers with at least two years of litigation experience for medical malpractice, municipal liability, retail, and transportation team openings in its Chicago and Northern Indiana offices. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting motions and briefs, attending hearings, conducting depositions, representing clients in court, participating in client meetings, and collaborating with legal professionals. The onsite role involves regular courtroom work and potential regional travel for trials and client work. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, admission to the Illinois or Indiana Bar or reciprocal admission, and civil litigation or trial practice experience. Strong research, analytical, communication, organizational, ethical, and teamwork skills are required. Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, health care, transportation litigation, or depositions is a plus.
