Work under the guidance of experienced Data Technicians to configure digital network hardware, install powerlines, and interconnect equipment with structured wire and fibre optic cabling. Study towards Certificate III qualifications in Telecommunications and Electrotechnology while gaining practical skills. The work takes place in clean, safe and secure indoor environments including data centres, construction builds and retail fit-outs. The role requires concentration, attention to detail, safety awareness, the ability to listen and follow instructions, and good verbal and written communication. Ideally, applicants have an HSC with passes in maths, English and a science subject, equivalent pre-vocational study, a Certificate II in Electrotechnology, another trade or course, or relevant work experience.
