CPEC's 12-month Allied Health New Graduate Program is for new or recent graduates in speech pathology, occupational therapy or physiotherapy who are eligible for AHPRA or SPA membership. Applicants should value and respect people with disabilities, be interested in supporting people with sensory, motor or communication disabilities, enjoy working in partnership with participants, families and other professionals, and have a driver's licence with a willingness to support participants in the clinic or community. The program provides mentoring, reduced billing expectations, internal training, transdisciplinary knowledge, experience with customers from early intervention through to adulthood, training in assistive technologies and equipment, AAC and PODD communication, and client management systems. Speech pathologists also receive PROMPT training and support with dysphagia management.
