Provides holistic care for children in grades K1-5, supports homework completion and independent reading, creates and implements age-appropriate enrichment activities, engages students in respectful and inclusive play, and brings Christ into classroom behavior, stories, activities, or prayer. Responsibilities include communicating with parents, completing yearly progress reports, participating in family and special program events, maintaining the classroom, and supporting organizational activities. Candidates must meet Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care licensing requirements, complete required professional development and training, pass a CORI/SORI background check, maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, provide an annual doctor's note, and have strong communication skills and a passion for ACCESS' mission. A bachelor's degree or study in elementary education or a child-development field, English and Chinese bilingual ability, relevant classroom experience, and mature Christian faith are preferred. The program follows the Boston Public Schools academic calendar, with approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, including after-school hours from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, mandatory staff meetings, supervision, weekly Bible lessons, enrichment activities, homework support, and family dinners.
