Khourys & Associates is welcoming expressions of interest from motivated Accountants who aspire to grow with the team. Responsibilities include preparing tax returns and financial statements for small to medium sized businesses, including companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs; reviewing financial statements and business structures; providing taxation planning and account management advice; completing Business Activity Statements; reporting to the associate on performance, budgets and client matters; assisting with technical tax compliance audits; liaising with clients, the ATO, ASIC, Long Service and other external agencies; and completing tasks according to accounting standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate has an accounting degree, commenced or completed CPA, CA or an equivalent qualification, at least 5 years of public practice experience including SMSFs, knowledge of Connected Ledger, MYOB, Xero and Handitax, strong communication and technical accounting and taxation skills, and effective time management, problem solving, research, decision making and teamwork skills.
