A well-established hospitality business is seeking an experienced, self-driven and organised Accountant. The role is responsible for overseeing accounting, systems administration and compliance, including cash flow management, BAS, IAS and R&D claims, payroll and associated HR functions, collections, operational purchase reviews, monthly invoicing, fixed asset and finance lease reporting, accounting controls and processes, and leading a small AP, AR and payroll team. The Accountant will work collaboratively with Contracts and Production teams and conduct monthly Finance meetings with senior managers and an external accountant. Applicants should have tertiary accounting qualifications, 2 to 3 years of full-time experience, previous accounting experience in a medium to large business, knowledge of accounting and organisational financial principles and procedures, current accounting standards and applicable legislation, strong problem-solving and customer service skills, and effective written and verbal communication abilities. Membership of, or eligibility to join, CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants or the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia will be viewed favourably.
