Produce policy-oriented and evidence-based research to decarbonize Chinese overseas economic activity and accelerate inclusive, low-carbon development and green structural transformation in developing countries. Responsibilities include conducting peer-reviewed research, developing and managing multiple research projects, collaborating with faculty and research partners, mentoring fellows, engaging policymakers, communicating research in English and Chinese, co-leading research across project lifecycles, and representing the GDP Center at policy events and conferences. Qualifications include an advanced degree in economics, public policy, political science, or a related field, expertise in global development policy and China's role in energy transition, quantitative and qualitative research skills, relevant publications, strong writing and communication skills, experience mentoring and coordinating research projects, Mandarin language skills, willingness to travel, and the ability to relocate and work in person in Boston, Massachusetts. The expected hiring range is $80,000 to $90,000. Applications are due October 1, 2026.
