Brown Rudnick's 1L Social Mobility Diversity Fellowship is for first-year U.S. law students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school who are first-generation professionals, have an established record of achievement, and have demonstrated a commitment to civic involvement that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. Fellows join the Summer Associate Program, spend their 1L summer working on a wide variety of matters as integral members of client teams, and receive professional development opportunities, individualized coaching, invitations to firm events, lectures and trainings, and access to Leadership Council on Legal Diversity resources as 1L LCLD Scholars. Fellows are eligible for a scholarship of up to $30,000 in addition to summer associate compensation. The position is available in Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. Applications were accepted on a rolling basis from December 20, 2024 through January 31, 2025.
