An essay prize for undergraduate and postgraduate students aged 26 or under on 27 November 2026. The 2026 essay question is: In the future, legal disputes involving the authenticity or attribution of art will be resolved by science and technology, not connoisseurship. Discuss. First prize is £2,500, second prize is £1,000 and third prize is £500. The first prize essay will be published in Art Antiquity and Law and on the 3VB website. Register by 14 October 2026, with essays due by 27 November 2026. Winners will be announced in January 2027.
