This intensive course introduces disciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches to the history, politics, economies, societies, and political cultures of Russia, the former Soviet republics, and East Central Europe, while examining the relevance and limitations of the concept of a Soviet legacy. Instructor permission is required for non-MARS-REERS students.
