SV Law hosted a LASEN Funding Workshop chaired by Satnam Virdi. The workshop discussed key issues surrounding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including statistics, funding, tribunal processes, media reporting, Local Authority funding constraints, differences between maintained and private specialist schools, Alternative Provision, the increase in SEND Tribunal cases, challenges faced by parents, and potential changes to SEND law or Tribunal processes. A lack of funding was highlighted as the significant issue.
