The first pan-Cycladic exhibition explores the history and roles of women in the Cyclades, from early prehistory to the birth of the Greek state. It brings together 180 works from almost all the Cycladic islands, including sculptures, figurines, vases, jewellery, coins, inscriptions, frescoes, mosaics, manuscripts and icons. The exhibition is organised into 12 sections covering subjects including goddesses, female identities, sanctuaries, eroticism, violence and death.
