Zisl Slepovitch presents on the Jewish fiddle in pre-World War II southeastern Belarus, drawing on Sofia Magid’s recordings of Jewish musicians in Volyn and southeastern Belarus made between 1928 and 1938. Guests must register by October 13 to be approved for campus access. Free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10.
