Event

GPS Scintillation and Position Errors During Geomagnetic Storms and Substorms

Hosted by Center for Space Physics · Boston

Details.

Space Physics Seminar presented by Toshi Nishimura of Boston University. The presentation discusses how ionospheric density structures disturb GPS signals and increase position errors, the relationship between GPS errors and geomagnetic storms, auroral intensifications and plasma density, and methods using multiple frequency combinations and other Global Navigation Satellite Systems to reduce errors.
