Every year on Reservists' Day, the Military History Museum of the German Armed Forces in Gatow invites visitors to the Airfield Festival. Visitors can freely visit the museum and depot, view historic aircraft, and, depending on the weather, watch historical airplanes take off for an air show. The family-friendly program includes a bouncy castle, kite building, face painting, live stage entertainment, information and activity booths, and a traditional field kitchen serving pea soup.
