A first anniversary celebration held in August 2013 with Korean traditional food, a book sale and bazaar. The event included a charity drive in collaboration with the Children's Cancer Foundation, with proceeds donated to the foundation and items also given to the Salvation Army. ezSAM also taught children at the Children's Cancer Foundation on a pro bono basis.
