A seminar surveying experimental cultures of East Central Europe, including avant-gardes, experimental modernisms and postmodernisms, alternative film and visual culture, and avant-garde classical music. Taught in English, with material primarily from Poland, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary.
