Appointments and walk-in services are available at the Consulate General of Costa Rica in New York. The stated office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Some services require an appointment, while others are handled in order of arrival. Passport appointments are available for minors and adults, along with appointments for exit permits, dual nationality registration, marriage registration, and death registration. Identity card renewals, first-time identity cards, preferential passport service, criminal record certificates, proof of survival or residence, and passport certifications do not require an appointment. Notarial powers and corrections to birth certificates should not be booked through this page.
