A short lecture-performance by The New York Baroque Dance Company exploring The New and Curious School of Theatrical Dancing, a collection of comic dances inspired by Gregorio Lambranzi and published in 1716. The program includes choreography inspired by Lambranzi’s descriptions, unusual comic characters and props such as spoons, goblets and plates, four company members and live music.
