A blended paediatric first aid course consisting of 6 hours of eLearning followed by a 6 hour classroom-based practical session and assessment, with breaks making the practical day 7 hours. The eLearning must be completed before attending the pre-set practical and assessment day. The course covers CPR for babies, children and adults, choking, recovery position, bleeding, fractures, burns, poisons, injuries, medical conditions and other emergency procedures. It is designed for people working with babies and children up to puberty, also covering adult emergency procedures. A certificate is issued that is valid for three years and meets the requirements of Ofsted, the Early Years Foundation Stage and the HSE.
